Winter Wonderland

Hello :)

And again a lot of time has passed since I last posted something here on my blog. So for today I have a very special post: no pictures of me (except from one), but photos of my trip to Finnish Lapland this Christmas. It was incredibly beautiful there, so I thought you should see the pictures of it as well. Actually it was quite cold, that's the reason why we had to wear lots of clothes. But except from this, it has just been wonderful! We didn't have any internet, we weren't available all the time - a great experience in today's world. I would definitely do it again - although it was my first Christmas away from my family and just with my boyfriend.

Apart from this holiday, I am still working until the end of July. Then, in September, I'm going to start university. I cannot wait! I plan to study English and History, as I want to become a teacher. For a really long time I wasn't actually sure what subject I wanted to study, and then - suddenly - I knew it. Do you know this feeling? When you're all at a sudden sure about something?

Well, as I am not really fond of working, I am looking forward to being able to study and to learn things again. I am definitely the person who prefers studying to working!

Enjoy the winter season and - if possible - the snow!

The hut where we lived in.

Me - as you can see, it was dark very often. We just had about five hours of sun light per day.

The sunrises and sunsets were always incredibly beautiful!

Gone with the wind

Hi! :)

In my last post I promised you some pictures we shot at the beach of Zandvoort aan Zee (Netherlands). When we visited Amsterdam this spring, we decided to spend one day at the North Sea as well. The weather was great, although it was a little bit windy that day. So that's the first explanation of today's title. The other one is that I've finally finished school! I'm so happy at the moment! We had our last tests this week and today we got our results. I can't believe it's over! I had such wonderful four years together with my classmates and I will really miss them! But now I am free, a new life starts for me, I could do anything I want to, I'm 'gone with the wind', one could say. It's the first time in my life I can decide on myself what I want to do. Well, I decided to go to grammar school on myself as well, but now I can choose any way I want to. It's a very special feeling!

So I hope you enjoy the pictures and I really hope that I'll have more time to take photos in the near future now that I don't have to study anymore!

Amsterdam ♥

Probably you've already read in my last blog post that recently I was travelling to the Netherlands, to be exact, to Amsterdam. Now I want to share my experiences with you, I hope you enjoy reading this text! :)

I visited the beautiful capital of Holland together with one of my best friends. We actually went on vacation together for the second time, and we always go on very well with each other. I guess, the reason for this is that we are quite similar about what we want to visit and what we want to do. We both are interested in culture and want to do some sight-seing, but shopping, relaxing and going out is important as well.

We flew from Zurich to Amsterdam Schiphol on Sunday evening. So it was already quite late when we arrived, and it was freezing. Unfortunately, we had a funny (but sweet) little hostel outside the city, and we had no idea about how to get there. So the first thing we did was to take a taxi. Just as an information, taxis are quite expensive in Amsterdam.;) Well, although the hostel was somewhere in the nowhere it was a very nice choice! The staff was just wonderful, so friendly! We slept in little caravans, which was something you have to get used to, but it was a nice experience! And anyway, for holidays in Amsterdam it was just great staying there, as we wanted to relax in the evening and to use the advantage of being able to buy something you are not allowed to in most of the other countries. ;)

On the first day, we went shopping. In Amsterdam you can find lots of little shops with nice clothing (sometimes, unfortunately, a little expensive). So we nearly spent all our money already on the first day.

On the second day we went to visit some important places. We made a tour inside the Palace of the King, saw lots of the Grachten, visited the Sex Museum. Initially, we intended to visit the Anne Frank Huis as well, but when we saw the enormous queue, we decided that it was not worth it.

On the third day we went to Zandvoort Aan Zee, a nice little town next to the North Sea. It was lovely there! I won't show you any photos of it now as we took a lot of pictures there, so I will make an own post for it soon.

We had such a nice stay there, I would definitely go there again! And honestly, I can't wait to travel again soon. Unfortunately, first I will have to write my final exams in June. However, in July we'll go on a trip to Spain with the whole class, as our last shared experience. On the one hand, I'm really looking forward to finishing school and kind of starting something new, but on the other hand I will surely miss the people and probably school soon, too.

Well, actually I did not intend to talk about this, as the post is about the beautiful city of Amsterdam. However, hope you enjoyed reading it and hope you like the pictures as well.

Bye for now, xx

The Palace

Actually you might thing I was not happy there because on all the pictures I look a little bit sad - but I was happy! The problem was just that I had caught a cold and that I could not really breath through my nose. Did you know that it's quite difficult then to smile for a photo? ;)

Spring break

Hello my dears

After a long break I am here with a new post again. As you can see, in Switzerland spring broke out. I really enjoy being outside at the moment, looking at all these beautiful flowers and feeling the warm sunrays on my skin! Can't wait for summer!
Actually, the pictures you can see here were not really shot for making a post but just for my instagram account (, so I'm sorry they are a little bit all the same. But as a friend of mine (thank you Annie!) told me she still visits my page to look for an update, I thought I cannot disappoint her and decided to upload these photos for you. Hope you enjoy them!
The t-shirt I wear is my favourite one at the moment. It was love at first sight when I saw it in the store. Do you know this feeling? You see something and you just need to buy it, doesn't matter how much it costs. Fortunately, the t-shirt was not really expensive.

At the moment I am having spring holidays. But actually I am very busy, as I am working a lot and still have to do some things for school. In June I'm going to have my final exams, so I need to read some books at the moment to prepare for it. I'm not really excited yet, but I'm worried about the time that will come afterwards. I have no idea what to do then! I decided not to go to university this summer, but to take a year off. Now I really need to think of what I want to do during this few months. There are lots of ideas in my mind but all of them have got their disadvantages. At the moment I would like to be a flight attendant, but we'll see... I'll tell you as soon as I know it.

Next week I'll go to Amsterdam with my friend. I'm really looking forward to this trip, I'm so excited! For sure I'll make a post about it afterwards, where I'll show you the best pictures and tell you about my experiences! Hope you'll be on this page again and read it! :)

I wish you a nice and flowery day, xx

Travelling 2013

Hello everybody

And again a year has passed... I don't know, but am I the only one who thinks that time goes faster and faster? For me, 2013 has been a wonderful year! So many good memories... 2013 also was a year full of travelling. I think I've never travelled so often as in the last few months. Probably you've seen some of the following pictures before, as I have uploaded some of them already. But there are also some new ones I want to share with you. I hope you enjoy reading the post and looking at the pictures!

Well, some of you might have recognized the place - it's Dublin! I went there in May with my class for a stay abroad. We had so much fun and I really could improve my English skills. Although Dublin's weather and me probably never will be friends, I enjoyed staying there. There are so many things to do in this wonderful city! Shopping, sightseeing, drinking a Guinness in one of the pubs, just hanging around - the city is really worth a visit!

Then, in my summer holidays, I went to Poland. We've got some friends there, they live near Cracow. If I say it was the time of my life, I really mean it! I had never thought that I could have so much fun there! The Polish people are the nicest in the world. They would give you everything they have! Although I do not speak any word of Polish, I could talk to them in English and we understood each other very well. Cracow is such a beautiful city! I know, it's not the place where you usually think of spending your holidays, but I really don't know why this is the case... Because I will definitely go there again as soon as possible!

Just a few weeks later I went to Berlin with two of my friends. I love this city! On the one hand, it is very fashionable and modern, but on the other hand it is full of history. This year I visited lots of places which have something to do with German National Socialism and Hitler. First, I went to Auschwitz (in Poland), which was very sad to see. Then, for those, who've never been to Berlin, there are lots of memorials and other things which have something to do with World War II. And in November we went to Dachau (near Munich) with school, to see the Concentration Camp there. You probably think right now "why is she telling us all these things?". But I just think that people need to know the whole stuff about what happened during the Second World War, so that it won't happen again.

Well, but let's move on to a happier subject: sun, sea and beach. As summer passed too fast, I needed to have it back, at least for a few days. I went to Italy (Isola d'Elba) with my family. It was so nice being there! Warm temperatures again (although I was afraid of having a bath in the sea because there were jellyfish), tanning (well, not in my case :D) and just spending the time hanging around. The most weird thing happened when we drove home: we had to pass the Gotthard tunnel, and as we got by, there was lying snow on the ground! In the morning we had had nice summer temperatures and in the evening we saw snow! I was quite reliefed by the fact that a week later I could go to Barcelona to escape the cold weather again.

Yes, and then I went to Barcelona with one of my best friends. We had an awesome time there, really! Actually we did not see lots of things (as we had other priorities), but we had so much fun there! Of course we wanted to go shopping, but we had a big problem: just one suitcase for both of us. But we were so proud that we finally managed to take all the things with us (and we bought a lot)! Then, on another day, we were just realaxing at the beach (la Barcelonetta). It was very warm and we actually could have a bath in the sea (in October). Afterwards we were freezing but that was worth it! And, of course, we also went out in the evening. It was so much fun to go to the clubs there and stay awake until the sunrise. We were so sad when we had to leave this beautiful place again!

Well, this was my 2013... A great year full of fun, pleasure, travelling, hanging out with friends,... I am so thankful for the fantastic time I spent with all the people I love! We had so much fun all the time, it's impossible to mention all the moments which made me laugh so much and will stay in my mind forever (quite kitschy I know). Especially summer time was incredible!
Honestly, I'm quite curious about what 2014 will bring for me. In half a year I will be starting something completely new, as I will have finished school then. Hope it will turn out great! But if 2014 is going to be just half as nice as 2013, I will have a good year!

Autumn leaves

Hello everybody

I know it has been a long time since my last post... But, to be honest, I had so many things to do, I could not find the time to shoot some new pictures. Then my friend told me that she still visist this page sometimes to have a look whether there are some new posts... So I thought it is time for a new one (thank you Annina!).
Hope you all enjoy my cardigan, I really love it! The colours are just wonderful and the pattern as well. Unfortunately it has become quite cold here in Switzerland, but anyway, I'm looking forward to Christmas! I love this time, lights and candles everywhere, this typical smell in the air, thinking about what kind of present you could buy... That's christmas time!

Wish you all a nice december time!

Hop on - hop off

Hello everybody

After a long break I am back with a new outfit post. Some of you may have seen the pictures about Poland, the leggins and the shirt I'm wearing on my new photos I bought there. Going shopping is great in Poland, there are nice shops and things aren't expensive...
Well, we shot the pictures early in the morning as we were expecting a hot day. But unfortuately it was already very hot so I was nearly melting in the sun like an ice cream. In the afternoon then we wanted to make a boat tour on the Rhine, but unfortunately the rubber boat had a leak, so we decided to just go to the river and swim an tan there. We had a nice afternoon, altough it was incredibly (and still is) hot. But, you know, people are always complaining about everything. In winter it's too cold and in summer it's too hot. So I try to be happy about the hot days now. Enjoy the summer!
